Words are like two double-edged sword …

… it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it reveals the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. To pay tribute to those who are suffering, we use words to declare healing, and encouragement, and it can have a powerful effect to those who need it the most.

Launched by Dubai Culture, the ‘Bank of Healing Words’ campaign is part of the crowd-sourcing for Al Maktoum Hospital Museum. The museum will shed light on the evolution of Al Maktoum Hospital, going beyond the story to highlight the role of the people in collaborating with organisations, and identifying regional and global trends to create a world-class healthcare facility.

Users can participate on the campaign by using the hashtag #WordsThatHeal in their posts in social media like facebook, instagram, or twitter, enabling their thoughts to be documented in the first museum dedicated to Dubai’s oldest hospital. This compilation of ‘Healing Words’ will be shared with patients in hospitals across the city.
