Cleanse Me

I always keep my pains, my struggles, my thoughts within myself. I never shared them openly as opposed to anyone who can just simply tell their own stories. It’s not that I don’t trust them with mine, but …

As when I start to hear my voice,

      my words are broken,

      my eyes wet,

      my hands tremble,

my heart pumps faster than a race,

Until no words are to be spoken, and I’m left with a broken heart, a tortured thoughts that I could not understand why I blame myself of not having the strength of sharing my pains, my struggles. I just couldn’t.

While i was in high school, one morning with our English class, our teacher required us to bring a journal notebook. Life was already difficult for me back then. I couldn’t afford to buy one. And couldn’t say it because I couldn’t accept in myself that I simply couldn’t  afford it. I was silent. But my seat mate had guessed it. She had guessed it that with my silence she knew that something was not right. But I hated her because she asked, “How are you? Do you have your journal?” I stared blank at her, then I left.

Those were all from the past. Those were the days of not knowing who I really am. Those were the times when I did not know that deep within me is a stronger self, there is a greater Self that is waiting to be acknowledged.

I was introduced to Him. I was introduced to His Love, His Comforting Love. I was introduced to the One who knows all my pains and my struggles, to the One who I can tell all my pains and my struggles even though He knows it all.

When I knew Him, I asked Him to cleanse me, I asked Him to make me anew, I asked Him to comfort me with all the pains and the struggles I am going through. I asked Him to cleanse me with all the thoughts and feelings that make me away from Him. I asked Him to hold me tight, but He said, “I am always here. I am always with you. I am always in you. Hold on to Me. Feel Me in you.”

I am a new person. I am a new being. I am cleanse by the Love of God.

In Him, I am a new creation. All things are made anew. Like a spring of living  water that cleanses me through.

“I breathe and move and live in Him.”

Happyness Quote Day 16 – Consciousness

Once the soul awakens, the search begins and you can never go back.

John O’Donohue

Light is around us and within us—it is our guide on the path toward self-realization. Light is what triggers us to wake every morning, allowing us to see . . . dissipating the darkness and shadows.
As we open to the light within, we connect to the divine light that illuminates our soul, awakening us to our real Self, and the light that connects all things. We find that we are one light connected to all light, universal connection, and consciousness. As this energy is awakened, there is no more searching or striving.

NaPoWriMo Day 5 – Invisible Friend

Melodic and whispering Birdsong,
Joined by the enthralling sound of wind,
I escaped the night into the
Bewilderment what’s causing the water’s
Outpouring in my solemn face.
Spring has come and for Each
Blossom of this delicate alluring flower,
Every part is a journey of remembering
That in my brokenness, a wandering stranger held the
Pieces of my shattered self, and jointly smell:
The essence of the delicate life that I
In my solitary distant world, know
Be set free. I take my time, and Yes! you’re
Intriguing, yet jaunty presence so very close
I can tell you’re with me by-and-by.

I am personally enjoying today’s writing prompt for NaPoWriMo – golden shovel. This form was invented by Terrance Hayes in his poem, The Golden Shovel. The last word for each line of Haye’s poem is from Gwendolyn Brook’s poem We Real Cool.

Well, it’s a bit of tricky form to follow for a poem, but it can be made simpler by choosing a short poem to shovel-ize. In recognition to one of my favorite poets, I picked a Rumi’s translated poem from Coleman Bark’s – Rumi: The Book of Love. If you read the ending word of every line from the poem written above, you are reading this Rumi’s poem – Birdsong, Wind …

Birdsong, wind,
the water’s face.
Each flower, remembering the smell:
I know you’re close by.

NaPoWriMo Day 2 – A Simple Prayer

Tranquility Node

Tranquility Node – Sikka, Dubai

As i take a rest at night

I always desire in heart

That God’s love be entwined –

His grace be always exuberant,

And always be abundant

Just as His strength be always perfect.

These I would share to all,

In close distance,

Or in miles,

Or in oceans apart.

God Answers …

God always answers!
It comes in countless ways.
As we welcome the sunrise,
’til we bid goodbye to the moonbeam.
As we call it a day, He would simply say!
“I give you Life, to celebrate Me.”
Like the rain that dance in the roof;
like the birds that sing in the air.

Let’s celebrate Him.
