I have been thinking of sharing this stuff or not, but I thought may be this can do more good than not doing anything at all. As how the universal law says: Ask and you will be give, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened.
Last week, I happened to attend an open house event from Goethi-Institut, Germany’s worldwide cultural and language institute. There were many guests, as they had baking sessions of the best and tasty German bread. They also held taster lessons of German language course, as well as level screening test.
I am currently learning German for the preparation of A1 exam, and you can read here what I know so far. It may be by chance that I went to the event, because they are giving away prices to the attendees. One of that is a free 2-weeks German language course in Berlin.
To win that price, they are running an instagram contest with my entry here . Whoever gets the most “likes/hearts” will be on his/her way to Germany for the said course. It is my desire to get that chance, and so I’m having this courage to share that intention here and to reach out to those who can give a minute of their time and a big heart for this photo here.
World Environment Day (WED) is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. To stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues and encourages political action, United Nations chose the 5th of June as a day to commemorate it.
Within the UAE and the region, it is the Emirates Wildlife Society – WWF or EWS-WWF that work with people and institutions to conserve biodiversity, tackle climate change and reduce the ecological footprint through education, awareness, policy, and science-based conservation initiatives.

Dubai Festival of Lights – Dubai, UAE
Plain and dull –
Light of daytime brings you,
Let it be!
Beneath the skyline –
Red orb sun sinks in,
Rejoice in it!
Array of crystals –
Beautiful translucent balls you are,
See it through!
Vibrant and colorful –
Night of elegance we savor,
Dwell with us!
From mere plastic –
Transformed, molded and hand painted,
And now illuminated!
Bright and cheerful –
Beauty inside light brings you,
Let it be!
I attempted to follow the writing prompt of the day presented in NaPoWriMo website, that is to write a lune. A lune is a sort of English-language variation of Haiku, meant to better render the tone of the Japanese haiku. There are a couple of variants on the lune form, but today we tried the version developed by Jack Collum. His version of the lune involves a three-line stanza – the first line has 3 words, the second line has 5 words, and the third line has 3 words.
Movie Under the Stars
Directed By: Nick Cassavetes
Director Nick Cassavetes collaborates with screenwriter Jeremy Leven (The Notebook) for this drama about a pair of parents who resort to unorthodox methods in order to save their young daughter’s life, only to find their decision coming back to haunt them in a manner neither could have ever foreseen.
Sara (Cameron Diaz) and Brian (Jason Patric) are coasting through life with their young son and daughter when tragedy threatens to tear the family apart. Suddenly, their baby girl falls ill, and her only hope for survival rests in her parents’ ability to find a compatible bone marrow donor. Desperate to save their daughter’s life at any cost, Sara and Brian conceive another child in hopes that the baby will be a genetic match. But that decision raises a series of moral and ethical questions that rapidly begin to erode the foundation of the once-happy couple’s relationship. Incensed upon learning that she was brought into this world for the singular purpose of prolonging the life of her ailing older sister, the young girl (Abigail Breslin) ultimately decides to sue her parents for the rights to her own body. Alec Baldwin, Sofia Vassilieva, and Joan Cusack co-star. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
