World Environment Day 2014 | Movie Screening of Disney Nature’s “Oceans”

World Environment Day (WED) is the United Nations’ principal vehicle for encouraging worldwide awareness and action for the environment. To stimulate worldwide awareness of environmental issues and encourages political action, United Nations chose the 5th of June as a day to commemorate it.

Within the UAE and the region, it is the Emirates Wildlife Society – WWF or EWS-WWF that work with people and institutions to conserve biodiversity, tackle climate change and reduce the ecological footprint through education, awareness, policy, and science-based conservation initiatives.

To mark the World Environment Day 2014, with the generous support of Vox Cinemas and Gulf Film, EWS-WWF brings to us an epic story of adventure about world’s oceans and the creatures that inhabit them, evoking their splendor, suppleness and speed, but also their vulnerability to environmental threats.
